5G launch in India is highly-anticipated as the country waits for the fifth-generation network to bring faster-than-ever connectivity. All major network service providers Jio, Airtel, and Vi are continuously putting in their efforts to bring a network that can virtually connect everything together including machines, objects, and devices such as 5G smartphones. 5G connection will allow higher multi-Gbps speeds, lower latency, and more reliability compared to the previous-generation mobile networks.

If we have a closer look at the tariff rates of all major network service providers which are Airtel, Jio and Vi all tariff prices close to the same. Soon subscriber base will come down to the operator who provides the best quality network to its users. This is already evident with Airtel outperforming Jio in the last two quarters.
Airtel gained 4.05 million wireless subscribers against Jio’s 0.47 million, while struggling Vi once again lost nearly 5.7 million users in December, according to latest subscriber data collated by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
We may soon see a price hike in Vi recharge plan, Airtel recharge plan and Jio recharge plan. Although, there is no confirmation from any of the network service providers regarding tariff plans hike.
